Fola Folowosele
Fola Folowosele grew up in Nigeria and graduated from International School Lagos as the overall best student in the sciences in the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations in 2002. He decided to continue his studies abroad and graduated from Williams College with a double major in Mathematics and Economics.
During his time at Williams, he was also a member of the Varsity Soccer team. As a member of that team, he received the Clarence C. Chaffee Scholarship honoring student athletes who combine sportsmanship with academic success. His passion for Soccer Links Africa is inspired by his desire to help others less fortunate than he is, gain access to educational opportunities and develop their full potential as students and athletes.
I am the Founder of Soccer Links Africa - an organization that is committed to providing educational opportunities at universities in the United States for African high school students that are gifted academically and on the soccer field. By organizing an annual soccer showcase run by the US university coaches in Africa, the selected students will have the opportunity to obtain university scholarships and fulfill their academic and athletic potential.
