I currently work for Western University as the Global Experiential Learning Coordinator with the Experiential Community Engaged Learning team. Before joining Western I worked for United Way of London and Middlesex for 7 years in London, Ontario as a community planning specialist with a focus on community social planning committees in the areas of poverty, mental health, newcomers and children. Prior to landing in London Ontario, I held various positions within the sport and development field, working with the Trinidad and Tobago Alliance for Sport and Physical Education (TTASPE), the International Alliance for Youth Sports (IAYS), and the University of Trinidad and Tobago lecturing in sport sociology. While at IAYS I aided in the development the IAYS Child Protection Recommendation document and chaired the International Youth Sport Standards committee. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure from Brock University and a master’s degree in Recreational Sport Administration from Indiana University. In my recreational time I enjoy figure skating, curling, swimming, hiking and yoga. I am passionate about child plan and engaging students in our communities. I am a volunteer of the Board of Director with Childreach, a organization based in London helping children be the best they can be by supporting parents.
