Currently undertaking PhD research on Women and Sport Leadership in Southern Africa at the University of Chichester, UK. I am the International Adviser to the National Organisation for Women in Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation (NOWSPAR) and the Anita White Foundation (AWF). Over the last 12 years, I have been involved in the sport for development sector in roles including community event management, monitoring, advocacy, board service, and resource mobilisation.
I work on issues of inequality and development in Zambia. I am interested in understanding the inequalities within sport and in sport as a means of addressing inequalities in society. Over the last ten years, sport has been the space for my livelihood, activism, and scholarship. In 2015, I moved to the UK to undertake doctoral studies at the University of Chichester. My research aims to understand the experiences of women sport leaders within policy structures of sport organisations in the African Union Sports Council Region 5.
