Olubunmi O. Sodiya, I am from Nigeria. I studied Bachelor of Education in TESL (Hons) English Literature and Master of Education in Physical Education at Faculty of Education University of Malaya. I am currently studying PhD in Childs Studies Physical Education and Health at the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal.
I am a personal/group fitness trainer, Competent in Motor skills, Motor learning, Measurement, Evaluation and Sports Psychology.B.Ed. I did my football coaching course ."C" License Soccer at National Institute of Sports, national stadium Lagos, Nigeria.(2007).I have written several unpublished papers: Why children perform better at training and failed to perform in competition; Part method teaching soccer dribbling skill to novices; validations of ‘Bumdart’ Soccer Passing Test and I have published two manuscripts one book chapter and one in journal issue of education faculty of education university of Malaya.
I gained extensive experience attending an international workshop in Denmark on research contribution in sports at Copenhagen University, International Postgraduate conference at Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Hong Kong and also attended international summer school at Okayama University in Japan. I was a volunteer teacher at a refugee centre in Kuala Lumpur and during four months of teaching practice at SMKDU Damansara. I possess a good leadership skill.
I worked as a part-time soccer coach in Kuala Lumpur for several years, With little league Soccer, Koru Sports Academy and Unite soccer school.I also created soccer session for girls only and a running session for both boys and girls.I managed the international student’s soccer team consisting of more than forty players and with a good team-leading skill gained, I was awarded the University of Malaya international students Sportsman of the year in 2014 and 2015.
