Patrick Klaus Gasser
Patrick Gasser heads UEFA’s Football and Social Responsibility Unit (FSR). He joined UEFA in 1999, supporting football development in Eastern Europe.
Before joining UEFA, Patrick worked for 13 years at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), both in the field and in the HR Department at the HQ in Geneva. He worked in areas affected by conflict in Asia, Africa the Middle-East and the Balkans,
Patrick graduated in 1986 from the School of Economics and Business Administration in Lucerne and received a post-graduate degree in Human Resources from the school’s Olten campus in 1996 and the University of Geneva in 1999. He obtained a diploma in Sociology, Politics and Management of Sports from the University of Lausanne in 2002.
UEFA, through its social responsibility policy, upholds the belief that football should be used as a tool for broader benefit within society, employing its potential to influence attitudes and behaviour beyond the confines of the stadium.
Within a defined portfolio UEFA supports a limited number of projects in the field of health, anti-discrimination, football for all abilities, the environment, peace and reconsilitation and the humanitarian field
