Whilst I was shaping a career in development prior to working in Indigenous Australia, my work there (in a community previously impacted by high levels of petrol sniffing) reinforced to me the value of sport as a tool for development. I am enjoying working back in the Pacific and working with my Samoan and Tongan counterparts to identify they ways in which we can use sport to meet the development priorities of the Governments of Samoa and Tonga.
