Born with a passion for sports, Tamara has always been involved in every single sports activity that came her way and thus founded a local Palestinian NGO that focuses on using sports as tool for community development. Tamara is a lecturer in sports and life skills and has a very wide network locally and internationally.
Tamara holds a BA in Information Technology, CIS, and a Masters in Business Administration. She also received her Diploma in Fitness Training accredited by the Palestinian Ministry of Youth and Sports, and sports Managments Diploma from CIES academy / FIFA and a postgraduate degree in Sports Management from the Royal Holloway, Univeristy of London, UK.
Tamara featured in a documentary on Basketball in Palestine called “Salaam Dunk” which was consequently broadcast on AlJazeera English.
In the early years,She was a competitive swimmer, and also played Basketball for Sarriyet Ramallah, and made it into the Palestinian National Team, which participated in the West Asia Tournament and Arab Schools Tournament. During her studies at the University of Jordan, she joined the varsity Basketball team, was the captain of multiple clubs, played for Jordan Basketball National Team, and coached little leagues for 5 years. Back in Palestine, Tamara played with De La Salle Jerusalem basketball team and won the local championship. Being passionate about raising the level of basketball in Palestine, Tamara worked as an agent, recruiting outside talents to come and play in local clubs. Founded a basketball school for kids ages 4 - 13, took part in two international mini basket tournaments.She is also an author for Palestine on EuroBasket,
