I have a Masters in Sport and Development from Southampton Solent University, and a B. A. (Hons) in International Development. During my Masters, I was particularly interested in the concept of sustainability in sport for development projects, and the extent to which sustainability is a realistic target.
During the past 10 years, I have also gained practical experience working for sport and development organisations in Switzerland, Spain, and India. The experiences that I have encountered in the world of sport for development continue to reinforce my view that sport, if utilised appropriately, can be a highly effective tool in the development process.
In addition to my academic and professional background, I am a keen cyclist who loves nothing more than tackling mountain passes on two wheels.
