While working as a T.V producer/presenter, I learnt over those years that football is more than a passion in Nigeria. Search and Groom was founded within this context to give meaning and quality life to youths in Ajegunle, a socio-economically disadvantaged community where I grew up. The need to build a strong and self sustainable communities, with the aim to surmount the environmental factors militating against the development of the Nigerian child.

Yomi Kuku's Biography
I was born and grew up in Lagos , but was in boarding school during my childhood.
Attended Olu-Ola Primary School, Ijebu Ode and went on to Luba Comprehensive School, Ijebu Ode where I completed my secondary school education in 1988.
I bagged a National Diploma (Business Administration and Management) at the prestigious Yaba College of Technology, (1994).
I was a contributor in the Sports weekly tabloid, SPORTS SPECTACULAR in 1993-1994.
I had stints as an intern (Personnel & Administration) at Niger Insurance Plc, Lagos and also appointed sports editor of the Company’s quarterly magazine (1991 & 1994).
I worked as a Freelance Broadcast Journalist (Sports Presenter and Producer) with Radio Nigeria, now defunct Nigeria Television Authority (NTA 7) and Lagos Television (LTV 8) and Radio Lagos. Founded the project (Search and Groom) in 2000 with inputs from older colleagues in the media
