SEDYEL together with GTZ/YDF through the "Strong Youth-Strong Africa Credo" will be hosting the World Cup Tour Tournament that will be on the 7th of May 2010 at SEDYEL Grounds from 8am until 5pm. The event will start with a procession led by Ramotswa Police from the the Caltex to the SEDYEL youth center.

The theme of the day's activity will be "Youth Health and HIV/AIDS". A key objective of this day's event will be to encourage young people to take part in the fight against the scourge by actively seeking and getting the right information towards prevention of new infections. This objective will be achieved through the sports activities and awareness discussion forums.

The aim of this Tour is to facilitate an opportunity for young people to come together to discuss issues that affect them in their communities. It shall also build leadership, life skills and confidence through an integrated approach which incorporates education, discussion forums and training by physical activity and sport. This should in return challenge the young people to think critically about the decisions they make about the present and future and be a strong generation creating a strong African continent.

The event will attract 400 participants altogether, 32 teams from the 5 villages of South East District for both boys and girls. Continuing the excitement of the World Cup, the fixtures of the upcoming World Cup will be used for games during the day. Each team will play and proceed to the intelligence show where the points will be gathered from the two events will be added up to decide the overall winner for each age category.
