Nominations closing soon for Beyond Sport Global Awards

Time is running out for sport for development organisations to get recognised for the great work they do.

This year’s Beyond Sport Global Awards take place in New York in July. In a change from previous years, each category is now aligned with at least one of the sustainable development goals (SDGs). This presents a great opportunity for those using sport for social change to get the recognition they deserve.

Many projects are already working toward the SDGs, meaning they are eligible to apply. The reason for this change is to show Beyond Sport’s commitment to the SDGs and the belief that we can achieve the goals through sport. Even projects that have entered previously can apply.

Beyond Sport have spent nearly a decade working to bring social change through sport. The business package received by winners can make a real difference to how your project operates and the impact it can have. Business support is provided by UpShot and GivenGain Foundation.

With the awards ceremony taking place in New York, all shortlisted entries will be assisted in attending. The awards take place during Beyond Sport United – meaning shortlisters will have the opportunity to attend. The conference brings together the leaders and innovators in sport for two days of networking and knowledge sharing.
