Yellow Panthers was born in 1994 when a group of gays and lesbians were playing volleyball on the beach with a yellow ball that was given to a team of German gay volleyball players.

Yellow Panthers currently consists of about 640 members, we meet in a general assembly once a year to take stock and decide the future of the club. The assembly gives direction to the club board, consisting of 10 people elected by all members. This board consists of a president, a vice-president, a treasurer and a few members. The number of members of the board may be variable and tries different sport sections. Each of the sport sections of Yellow Panthers have a responsibility. To coordinate all these, sport leaders meet regularly, together with the coordinator of the sports commission, which acts as a link between the sports commission and the board.
