Join us for a digital conversation entitled ‘The power of inclusion: Maximizing the visibility of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games’. The event is hosted by the African Union Sports Council and the African Paralympic Committee and will take place Friday 7 May at 10:00 (West African time) / 11:00 (Central African time)/12:00 (East African time).

In the coming months, a new Strategic Framework for the Sustainable Development of Sport in Africa (2021-2030) will be launched, which re-emphasizes participation in physical education, physical activity and sport is a human right for people with disabilities across all levels of sport.

This summer’s Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games (24 August – 6 September 2021) is a momentous opportunity to raise the visibility of Para sport and the rights of people with disabilities.
