We are looking for a partnerships manager to join our team in Berlin, with a focus on public donors and foundations.

Job summary
The partnerships manager supports streetfootballworld in its grant application processes to government partners, foundations, and institutional donors like the EU.

He/she will work on diverse processes, ranging from concept development to identification of potential partners, grant-writing of technical and detailed proposals and reports to stewards and partners through events and meetings.

The position will be located in our office in Berlin. The partnerships manager will report directly to the partnerships director of the organisation.

Main responsibilities

  • You research and identify new and relevant funding opportunities with a focus on public donors and foundations.
  • You develop, write, edit and submit grant applications for funding.
  • You support the liaison and advocacy of donors.
  • You manage grants with quality and timely reports according to donor expectations and requirements.
  • You plan and implement events related to networking and advocacy in close collaboration with colleagues of our communications department.
  • Your other duties include back office support and translations (target language: German) as required.

Key requirements

  • You have a university degree in a related field of studies (e.g. Political Science, International Relations, Communications, or similar).
  • You have professional work experience (not including internships) in researching and submitting winning grant proposals to public donors and foundations.
  • Your experience in streetfootballworld countries of operation is desirable.
  • You have knowledge on the funding landscape in the development sector.
  • You possess a high level of intercultural communication skills and cross-cultural competence.
  • You are fluent in German and English and have excellent written and communication skills.
  • You are proficient with standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • You have the ability to structure and carry out your workload independently.
  • You are an open-minded team player who likes to think cross-departmental and work together with people from different cultural backgrounds.
  • You identify strongly with our cause.
