COACH+ conference: Soft / employability skill development through sport-plus coaching
We are pleased to invite you to the COACH+ conference on soft / employability skill development through sport-plus coaching.
DATE: MAY 30th, 2024
LOCATION: VRIJE UNIVERSITEIT BRUSSEL (VUB), BRUSSELS, BELGIUM
The conference will be organised on Thursday May 30, 2024 between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm (CET) on the campus of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Brussels, Belgium.
The conference marks the end of the two-year collaborative partnership ‘COACH+’, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU, which has produced an open online course (MOOC) on youth work oriented sport-plus coaching. The aim of this MOOC is to help optimise the understanding of how sport-plus can be used effectively to develop soft / employability skills for young NEETs.
Apart from an introduction to the COACH+ project and the MOOC, the conference (including plenary and interactive sessions) will focus on the potential and challenges to use sport-plus coaching for soft / employability skills development for young NEETs.
The plenary sessions of the conference can be followed online.
The conference is aimed at representatives from:
• ‘sport-for-employability’ / ‘sport-for-development’ organisations
• youth work
• education
• employment sector
• research
• policy (local, national, European)
Participation is free, but registration is required via www.sport4employability.eu before May 24, 2024. To join the plenary parts of the conference online, a weblink will be sent in advance. Please note that all sessions will be provided in English.
The final programme will be communicated later on our website.
We look forward to meeting you in Brussels at the COACH+ conference.
Best regards,
The COACH+ cooperative partnership
