Launching Laureus' Sport for Good Environmental Action Toolkit

In February 2020, Laureus became a signatory to the UN’s Sport for Climate Action Framework, thereby committing to the Paris Agenda on Climate Change. We aim to reduce our own carbon footprint, and we invite the sport for development sector to join forces with us to make our programmes, operations, events and impact environmentally more sustainable.

To this end, and together with the Sport Ecology Group, we have developed internal guidance for all our operations as well as a toolkit for partners and other organisations, which can help inspire and gives tips and practical recommendations.

On Earth Day, we launch the Sport for Good Environmental Action Toolkit in an online event where we will hear from our CEO Adam Fraser, the Sport Ecology Group, the 2020 Green Challenge winner Fundacion Colombianitos from Colombia, and the 2019 Sport for Climate Action Collective Impact Award winner I am Water from South Africa and USA.
