SportsLAB Learning Session - Gender Equality through Sports: Understanding What Really Works

Off the back of International Women’s Day, Our next SportsLAB Learning Session will be on understanding what really works in Gender Equality through Sports programmes.
Date: 19th of March at 13:30-14:30 GMT
We will be sitting down with Shamira Naidu-Young who will be presenting her findings from her recently completed PhD, supported by Laureus in partnership with Durham University, which was an in-depth socio-ethnographic research project with BoxGirls Kenya. Joining her is also Grace Buliba, a project manager at BoxGirls who is central to their gender programming, Sarah Achieng, a champion boxer who went through the programme at BoxGirls, and Mariëtte Brethouwer, a director of social and community impact at Nike.
The session will involve a presentation from Shamira, questions and discussions from the panellists followed by an open Q&A. Get your questions at the ready and sign up as soon as you can!
