Join the GIZ S4D Learning Lab for a three-day workshop to find out how sport can contribute to health-related development goals (SDG 3).

Sport can be used to promote a variety of topics related to health, including (non-)communicable diseases, psychosocial health, and general ways to live a healthy lifestyle.

In particular, this workshop will discuss how sport can contribute to different sub targets of SDG3, health-facts of the WHO and important mechanisms behind interventions contributing to health objectives, e.g. how sport sessions and activities can be used to convey competences/skills in the context of healthy lifestyles. In group, we will discuss the topic of mental health and psycho-social well-being, health-related challenges in your countries and try to find possible solutions. Topic-related country examples of the GIZ and research will be presented as well.

At the end, participants will be able to use already existing resources and know how to implement health-related contents in their own working context.

Participation in the webseminar “Introduction to S4D” or prior knowledge of S4D are required for this course.

The workshop will take place with a minimum of 10 participants.
