Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Build and strengthen sustainability impact analytics and services to ensure data-based decision making and drive implementation of the sustainability strategy.
- Provide the x-functional team with impact (LCA) analysis and general sustainability advisory for priority projects.
- Provide guidance on sustainability topics to inform the overall sustainability strategy
- Support the development the sustainable analytics platform for adidas with a focus on the environmental impact and corresponding sustainability key performance indicators
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and managing LCA models for materials, products, and processes, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations
- Create and maintain processes to convert product data into LCA inputs, performing quality checks on automated processes
- Use data analytics to enhance LCA studies, analyze large datasets, and support sustainability reporting
- Assist with product and corporate footprint calculations and reporting (Scope 1, 2, and 3)
- Present LCA findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, outlining the framework for environmental impact assessments
- Collect information, identify key issues, compare data, and recommend solutions

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge and passion for sustainability, environmental systems, life cycle thinking, product sustainability, and climate change
- Proficient with LCA databases (e.g., Ecoinvent, GaBi) and database software programs
- Familiar with LCA standards and guidelines (e.g., EU PEF, ISO 14040/44, ISO 14064/67).
- Analytical skills, with attention to detail and quality
- Experience in data analysis and data visualization
- Effective at communicating environmental and social impact measurements
- Ability to work closely with various enterprise functions (Finance, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Design, etc.)
- Capable of working under pressure, demonstrating creative thinking, and handling complex problems in a timely manner
- Effective communication skills
Prerequisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year university degree, preferably master’s degree in environmental science, CSR or related fields
- Minimum 2 years’ work experience in sustainability and impact management, particularly in LCA
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
