Call for Proposals! Equal Play Effect
The Equal Play Effect Africa project will develop and strengthen a Pan-African network of sports for good organizations championing gender equality. The ambition is to use the power of sports to support the desired societal change towards more gender equality in all its dimensions. Through the development and implementation of context-specific gender equality programming, the project strives to influence societal change by tackling genderbased violence and creating spaces enabling open reflections to promote positive masculinity and femininity.
The project aims to increase leadership, representation and participation of girls and women in sport for good programmes, and ensure that every young girl has a female role model in her community, leveraging sport as an accelerator for female empowerment. The project is a collective effort led by Common Goal, Moving the Goalposts Kilifi and Soccer Without Borders as well as funding support from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH enabling this transformative approach.
