Consultancy Opportunity, Call for Interest: Climate X Community Development Expert

Common Goal is a movement-building and grant-making organization uniting the football ecosystem in a shared effort to tackle the world’s most pressing social issues, including gender equity, racial justice and climate.

Context

In the field of Climate Common Goal is focusing its work on supporting Football for Good organisations and their communities towards a just and inclusive transition.

Within this context Common Goal plans to develop a Self-Assessment tool. This digital tool will empower organizations to identify the environmental issues that are most pertinent to their communities through a materiality analysis, as well as assess their current capabilities, programs, and partnerships to address these challenges through a maturity assessment. This will support organisations to define their strategic roadmaps on climate.

While Common Goal has outlined the concept for the tool, it is seeking a partner who can help bring it to fruition.

Role

Common Goal is looking to contract with an expert (individual or organization) capable of developing the self-assessment tool.

The expert partner will be responsible for the development of the tool and its piloting with 2 or 3 football for good organisations from the Common Goal network.

Profile

The ideal partner would possess expertise in

Community development, with experience in working with communities in the Global South
Deep understanding of climate change, including adaptation and vulnerabilities

Additionally, proficiency in IT and the ability to develop a digital tool are essential.
