General Background of the Assignment

UNHCR launched its first Global Sport Strategy, "More than a Game," in 2022. The strategy aims to improve lives through partnerships with the sports industry, increasing humanitarian assistance and developing sports-based initiatives for displaced communities.

Purpose and Scope of Assignment

The consultant will support Golf for Protection projects across six countries, focusing on three key work streams:

  • Golf stakeholder mapping
  • Development of a Golf for Protection toolkit
  • Piloting and roll-out

Year 1 (April 2025 – February 2026)

  • Situation analysis and desk study (10-15 pages) – April 31, 2025
  • Key Informant Interviews Report (5-10 pages) – May 30, 2025
  • Global Stakeholder Mapping (5 pages) – June 31, 2025

Candidate Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree in a related field, with experience in Sport for Development and Peace. Additional qualifications include:

  • Experience developing project tools and educational materials
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with international organizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

French & Spanish – Desirable

Technical and Financial Offer

The technical offer should include CVs, expertise, and relevant experience, while the financial offer should detail daily rates, estimated days, and overall budget (excluding travel costs).

Evaluation, Monitoring, and Supervision

The selected candidate will report to UNHCR’s Sport Coordination Team in Geneva, with progress monitored by the Sport Coordination Unit.
