UNICEF is looking for a Children's Rights and Sport Specialist to help them develop a model for child-friendly remedy to be utilised by Mega Sporting Events. Deadline: 29 August 2022.

UNICEF recognises the power of sport to change children’s lives for the better and is committed to the realisation of children’s rights in, around, and through sport. As part of this work, UNICEF UK is , developing a model for child-friendly remedy to be utilised by Mega Sporting Events.

The Children’s Rights and Sport Specialist will take the lead in developing this model through researching existing examples; engaging with key stakeholders to gather and analyse good practice; gaining insight from actual Mega Sport Events, including the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad and Tobago; and synthesising this information to develop a pilot model for testing.

The successful candidate will be experienced in human and/or child rights, with an understanding of remedy mechanisms and a track record of working on human and/or child rights considerations, ideally in the context of sport. They will be an effective communicator, with experience in project management, research, and analysis.
