Sports for Social Impact podcast: A sport policy for everyone to love (with Sport NB CEO Cheryl MacDonald)
Cheryl Macdonald is the CEO of Sport New Brusnwick. She holds a PhD in Social & Cultural Analysis from Concordia University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in building inclusive sporting communities at the University of Alberta. She was also the co-editor of Overcoming the Neutral Zone Trap: Hockey's agents of change (2021).
Sport New Brunswick (Sport NB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and promotion of the amateur sport community in New Brunswick. It is a federation that consists of over 70 provincial sport organizations (PSOs) and other sport related organizations. They aim to be a proactive organization that provides strategic leadership to PSOs in New Brunswick to facilitate, support, and advocate sports participation and excellence throughout the province.
Sport NB aspires to be a key partner and contributor to the improvement of health and wellbeing for the people of New Brunswick through enhancing and acknowledging the social and economic benefits of sport participation and elite/national team performance and success.
