Hockey has the power to change lives. We see it every day in the communities we support.
The Hockey Foundation's mission is to "change lives via hockey, one puck at a time".
How they hope to achieve this goal:
- provide access to hockey in remote/under-served regions, through equipment donations and coaching programs
- coach in a way that is mindful of the ideals of the game, emphasizing on character development, empowerment of youth, women and/or minorities, and building integrity on and off the ice by reinforcing accountability, critical thinking, resilience and accountability
- support the community beyond hockey, with a focus improving education, socio-economic conditions and/or infrastructural needs
