The Traditional Sports and Games (TSG) Multi-Event will take place form 14 – 19 August 2026, with the host country selected through a bidding process launched.

The first edition of the Traditional Sports and Games Event will be held from 14 – 19 August, 2026. The theme for the event is "Infuse Cultural Diversity."

Host countries are invited to apply according to the process timeline, marked by the following milestones:

PHASE ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION TIMELINES

  • 1 Opening of the host country bidding process Tuesday 07 May 2024
  • 2 Bidders submission of questions and response by ATSGC and BGC Wednesday 15 May 2024
  • 3 Submission of bid documents Friday 31 May 2024
  • 4 Bid evaluation period by ATSGC and BGC 03 – 07 June 2024
  • 5 Selection of 2026 TSG host country and city 10 – 12 June 2024
  • 6 Announcement of TSG 2026 country and city Tuesday 18 June 2024
  • 7 TSG Multi-Event host country agreement signing Wednesday 26 June 2024
  • 8 Induction of TSGLOC by ATSGC and BGC 15 – 19 July 2024
  • 9 Presentation of Host City TSG 2026 timelines and schedules two (2) years plan Tuesday 23 July 2024
  • 10 Launching of TSG 2026 Inspiring curiosity and inspiring imagination two (2) years plan Thursday 27 June 2024
