Applications for FIFA Foundation Community Programme 2024 now open

The application period for the 2024 edition of the FIFA Foundation Community Programme is now open and runs until 15 September 2023.
In 2023, 114 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) were accepted onto the programme, which enables each applicant to apply for funding of up to USD30,000 to help support football-related projects and initiatives within the communities in which they run.
As the 2024 application process begins, FIFA Foundation Executive Chairman Mauricio Macri has called on even more organisations to apply for this unique opportunity.
The programme seeks to engage NGOs in a variety of initiatives that contribute to good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, no poverty, reduced inequalities, peace, justice and strong institutions, and the promotion of decent work and economic growth.
NGOs are encouraged to showcase how they use football to tackle social issues and bring about positive social change. The comprehensive selection process involves strict eligibility criteria and requires organisations to submit an extensive range of supporting documentation in the areas of finance and child protection.
For the first time, the 2024 edition of the programme will see the FIFA Foundation organise a series of workshops for NGOs around the world to share knowledge and to assist with key elements of the application process, with the aim of reducing potentially admissible entities being rejected due to administrative errors in the application process.
The first workshops will take place next week.
