On IDSDP 2021, the Balochistan Dodgeball Association organized its annual dodgeball competition.

Continuing its annual tradition, the Balochistan Dodgeball Association organized a dodgeball competition between Afghan refugee children and local school children on 6 April, to mark the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.

This year’s event was even bigger and better than previous years. Supported by FAF Pakistan and the Pakistan Beach Tennis Association, the Balochistan Dodgeball Association organized a spectacular event, featuring participating children as well as Pakistani beach soccer and beach tennis teams.

Three competitions

Three sport competitions were held to celebrate the day. The first included a dodgeball competition between local school children and Afghan refugee children. The winner of the game was the HS Maizai Adda, which won the final after a thrilling contest.

The second was a beach soccer competition, won by the Ariana Club after defeating Taj Afghan in the finals. Additionally, for the first time, the Pakistan Beach Tennis Association also participated in this festival. Mir Dad Kakar and Kaleemullah Khan won the final in doubles.

The event included representatives of the Balochistan Dodgeball Association, FAF Pakistan and the Pakistan Beach Tennis Association. In addition, principals of various educational institutions, social workers and organizations working for Afghan refugees were in attendance.

The special guest of the festival was Nazar Mohammad Kakar, the central leader of the Pakistan People’s Party, who distributed the prizes among the winning athletes. He congratulated the organizers for a successful event, appreciating the efforts of sport for working towards the goals of peace and development.
