Call for submissions on policy advocacy in sport

The Erasmus+ project, Policy Advocacy in Sport and Society (PASS), coordinated by the German Sport University, is calling on organisations engaged in sport for positive social development to share examples of policy advocacy practices. This will aim to build awareness about this important and often overlooked area of work.
Policy advocacy is understood to mean any deliberate effort by an organisation to influence policy in the interest of the people they serve. Policy advocacy activities include communications and campaigning, research and policy briefs, legal action, coalition building, stakeholder engagement, conferences or fora, and networking, to name a few.
Submissions will be assessed against criteria by PASS consortium partners to determine whether they are a case study, an emerging practice or a promising practice. Selected practices will feature in a toolkit and an open access online learning resource on policy advocacy in sport, which will be shared on the sportanddev website in 2026.
The assessment criteria and review process to determine case studies, emerging practices and promising practices will be shared on sportanddev in early 2025 as it is one of the outputs of the PASS project.
Complete this online form to share information on your policy advocacy work
Submissions can be made until 30 November 2024. Please provide as much information as possible to assist with the review process. Selected organisations will be contacted for supporting documentation as needed. Practices are not limited within Europe, as submissions from other regions are encouraged.
