The next two weeks promise a range of forums and seminars taking place across the globe and addressing various themes within sport and development.

Move Congress 2014

Building on the successful annual Move Congresses that have taken place since 2009, an international network of speakers and delegates from a range of sectors will meet in Rome from from 22-25 October 2014 with a key common interest: to find innovative ways of engaging people in physical activity and grassroots sport worldwide.



Communities and Crisis ICSSPE Seminar

ICSSPE hosts the seventh edition of the “Communities and Crisis – Inclusive Development through Sport” seminar on 22-28 October.



Kick It Out's Women's Raise Your Game event

The conference, on 28 October, aims to encourage more women to explore employment opportunities across all areas of football. The free event will consist of one-to-one mentoring sessions, keynote speeches and a panel discussion.



ENGSO Forum 2014

The 17th ENGSO Forum, from 27-29 October, will take place on a boat between Stockholm and Helsinki and is entitled "Physical education and activities in schools". The event will explore the topic of physical activity within the framework of education.



Beyond Sport Summit 2014

The sixth edition of the Beyond Sport Summit will take place in honour of the late Nelson Mandela in South Africa from 28-30 October.



Doha GOALS Forum

Doha GOALS is an initiative with the expressed intent of empowering stakeholders to create a roadmap for social improvement through sport, and launch cross-border initiatives. This year's edition, from 3-5-November, will host heads of state and will focus on sport’s place in national and state policy.



Small Cities and Sport Summit

The World Union of Olympic Cities starts its new initiative - the “Smart Cities & Sport Summit” with the first edition of the summit to take place from 5-7 November.
