The Lalbagh Sports Carnival 2025, organized by the Lions Club of Dhaka Lalbagh, aims to reignite youth involvement in sports. With over 50 schools and 100 Lions Clubs participating, the event seeks support from international sports NGOs to empower youth, promote sportsmanship, and strengthen communities across Bangladesh.

The Lalbagh Sports Carnival is set to return to Dhaka in 2025, with an ambitious mission: Let’s Bring Back Students to Sports Again. Founded by Ln. Mizanul Haque Prince, this vibrant initiative by the Lions Club of Dhaka Lalbagh aims to create an inclusive, community-driven sports event that encourages youth participation, promotes sportsmanship, and strengthens the bonds of local communities.

Following a successful inaugural season in Saidpur, where over 200 people participated and 15 different sports were showcased, the carnival is set to expand its reach and impact in the capital. With a vision to engage at least 50 schools, 35 Leo Clubs from Leo District Council 315A2, and more than 100 Lions Clubs, this year’s event promises to be even bigger and more inclusive.

The Lalbagh Sports Carnival 2025 will feature an exciting array of competitions, including:

  • Lions Football League (LFL)
  • Lions Premier League (Cricket)
  • Lions Chess Championship
  • 100m, 200m, and 500m Sprints
  • High Jump
  • Long Jump
  • Juvenile Throw and Weight Throw
  • Traditional Cockfights
  • Balance Run
  • Ludo Championship
  • Dartboard
  • Lions Badminton Championship

With the goal of creating a platform for students to shine, the carnival will serve as a testament to the power of sports in fostering unity, teamwork, and resilience. Engaging over 2000 participants from diverse backgrounds, the carnival will showcase the talents and sportsmanship of young athletes, empowering them to thrive both on and off the field.
