Fundraising in sport for development: State of the sector

One year since the launch of the inaugural Fundraising in Sport for Development: State of the Sector Report, Oaks Consultancy share the second report in their Fundraising in Sport for Development series.

Despite the significant challenge COVID-19 continues to pose for the sector, there is an undertone of optimism this year, with the majority of organisations more confident in their ability to overcome the financial impact of the pandemic.

The purpose of this report is to benchmark fundraising performance in sport for development globally and inform the future of fundraising in the sector. As we progress through 2022, another year likely to be disrupted by the social and financial implications of the pandemic, it is encouraging to see that this year’s findings reveal a far more optimistic landscape for the sector and better times ahead.
