Global Empowerment in Motion: #G100JumpForChange unites 300+ changemakers across 16 countries

This global movement transcended fitness, becoming a powerful call to action for the empowerment of women and girls worldwide. From Lesotho to Slovenia, Kenya to Brazil, Olympians, para-athletes, youth, coaches, and community leaders came together to champion empowerment, visibility, health, and equality.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the alliance and spotlight the inspiring women behind it, a global sisterhood using sport as a force for good. We aimed to promote sports and active lifestyles as powerful tools for positive change, especially for women and girls, fostering confidence and community through the simple yet profound act of skipping rope. As our first joint initiative, it united women and allies for equality through sport to create a lasting impact.
Women united through sport and movement
The #G100JumpForChange Challenge united women from various sporting disciplines, from grassroots to elite levels: football, judo, pilates, fitness, and beyond, to demonstrate the power of unity through movement. From Olympians and Special Olympics athletes to grassroots leaders, women stood united in a powerful global celebration of inclusion, visibility, and empowerment. In parallel, we proudly hosted the Judo Skipathon, featuring 20 clubs across 11 countries. This special initiative highlighted judo's core values of courage, respect, and friendship, and reflected the inclusive spirit that drives our global mission.
Global empowerment through skipping and judo
Together, the G100 Skipathon and Judo Skipathon formed a unified global event, engaging over 300 participants worldwide, with over 200 involved in the Judo Skipathon. Royal endorsement
Her Majesty the Queen of Lesotho, joined the initiative with strength and grace, stepping in and skipping in solidarity. Her participation symbolised the leadership of women in royal, rural, and urban communities, sending a unified message: Sport is for every girl. Movement is for every woman. Empowerment is for all.
Handmade with purpose: Sustainability at the heart of jumping ropes
Elderly women from Lesotho market hand-woven skipping ropes from locally sourced, biodegradable grass, free of plastic and rich in cultural heritage. These ropes symbolised resilience, community, and sustainability. By sharing their weaving skills, they preserved tradition, fostered intergenerational bonds, and promoted an eco-friendly active lifestyle.
A word from our Global Chair: Ms Mapulane Phohleli
“The Global Skipping Rope Challenge was more than a sport. It was a movement! A symbol of strength, resilience, and the limitless potential of women and girls. For a month, we united in skipping, not just for fitness, but for empowerment, equality, and meaningful change. From playgrounds to markets, from homes to clubs, we skipped together. Elderly women in Lesotho market hand-woven traditional grass skipping ropes, symbolising sustainability, culture, and intergenerational solidarity. Her Majesty, The Queen of Lesotho, joined with grace and strength, adding her royal presence to our mission.
I’m especially proud that this G100 Sports Empowerment & Championships initiative also included the inspiring Judo Skipathon teams, who demonstrated that empowerment can be built through judo’s values: courage, respect, and friendship. The Lesotho Defence Force Ladies Football Club also raised awareness by empowering women through football, with a highly valued contribution from Motseeo FC members and friends. Together, we jumped for change and for a better world. Sport truly has the power to uplift, to connect, and to rebuild our world.”
