Let us know what you have planned for 6 April!

The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace is fast approaching on 6 April. Every year, sport and development enthusiasts around the world invent interesting ways to celebrate, from online campaigns to events raising awareness about the power of sport to help to achieve development goals.

This year, the focus remains on sport and the Sustainable Development Goals. Whether you are part of a #WhiteCard initiative, creative project or event for the local community, we want to hear from you! We welcome contributions from individuals, small groups or larger organisations, and encourage you to visit previous years’ pages for inspiration on how to organise an activity in honour of the day.

Guidelines for submissions

To share your activities, please complete one or both of the following forms:

The sportanddev team will review and publish submissions on the “Who’s doing what” page of our 2019 IDSDP section. We welcome submissions in English and French, and participants may also submit in both languages.

If possible, please include a photo which represents how you will celebrate IDSDP 2019. All photos should include a credit and caption. You may also provide a link to your website or event page, if applicable.

We are looking forward to sharing contributions on a range of activities across the world, reflecting sport’s potential to act as a powerful tool for peace and development.
