Inspiring girls to participate in sport

A volleyball exhibition has been scheduled primarily to promote the girl's volleyball programme at Kankia Gram Vikas Academy. Currently our largest girl's programme, the day was designed to bring the community together in support of the girls and inspire them to healthier, more active, more productive lives.

The girl's intra-squad game was supplemented by other games including community, boy's and Khel Vikas staff teams to promote participation in all areas of the community.

Hopefully, this IDSDP can raise the profile of gender equality, physical and health education, and improving employability traits via the use of sport. If this is possible, it will help many organisations to achieve their goals and therefore enact change on a grander scale in a shorter period of time. In relation to sport for development and peace, this can only be a good thing!
