Looking forward to the Peace and Sport Forum

sportanddev.org will provide first hand coverage of the Peace and Sport Forum and Awards from Monaco on 6-8 December.

The annual Peace and Sport Forum plays host to governments, sports federations, NGOs, intergovernmental organisations and others interested in using sport for peacebuilding. Participants have the opportunity to take part in three days of panel discussions, workshops and networking events. On the evening of day two, the Peace and Sport Awards celebrate outstanding achievements.

This year’s forum celebrates a milestone – it is the tenth edition of Peace and Sport’s flagship event. According to the organisation’s data, the event has welcomed more than 3,500 delegates from 115 countries during that time.

The 2017 theme is “Sport innovation for social transformation”. The forum will explore how the latest trends in social innovation can be combined with sport to tackle global challenges. Sessions will focus on topics such as business investment, urban regeneration and digital solutions.

For the second year in a row, sportanddev.org will provide first-hand coverage from Monaco, providing highlights for those of you who are not able to attend. We look forward to the event and would like to thank Peace and Sport for inviting us again.
