Next Step 2014

A sport and development (S&D) practitioner-focused event, the Next Step conference was first held in the Netherlands (2003) and most recently in Trinidad and Tobago (2011). Next Step 2014: Using Sport for Good is the 5th edition of this exciting conference where S&D actors will come together for five days of plenary and breakaway sessions, skill building workshops and networking.

With a view to furthering “global partnerships for development,” the conference will place emphasis “on creating a web of linkages to foster the Sport for Development space and enable practitioners, academicians, donor agencies and Corporate Houses to learn about and implement effective Sport for Development programmes.” Conference themes include “safeguarding, peace and inclusion, social development, and mitigating the threat of non-communicable diseases.”
