Participate in the Japan Sport Council and UNITAR IDSDP 2025 social media campaign

We hope that this IDSDP 2025 campaign will encourage many people to recognise the usefulness of sport in a wide range of fields (including but not limited to the environment, peace, social inclusion, gender, and education), and we ask for your participation from many different sectors.
We plan to introduce some of the videos posted as part of the campaign on the JSC website and also project them at the Expo venue.
We look forward to your active participation in this IDSDP 2025 campaign, which is a great opportunity to share your activities with people around the world.
How to Participate in the “IDSDP 2025” Social Media Campaign
1. Create a Short Video Introducing Your Activities and Initiatives
Please create a short video introducing individuals' (Athlete, coach, etc.) or your organisation's initiatives aimed at addressing social issues.
Even if you or your organisation is not currently engaged in activities directly related to sport, you are welcome to participate if you are considering incorporating sport into your future initiatives. Similarly, you or your organisation currently focusing on competitive sport also welcome to participate if you envision utilising sports to address social issues in the future.
To ensure that site visitors have a good grasp of individuals' or your organisation's work, we recommend including specific examples, such as good practices or lessons learned, the themes you address, and relevant SDGs.
Examples of Activities Addressing Social Issues
- Poverty Reduction and Disaster Recovery (e.g., Rebuilding community through sports activities in disaster-stricken areas)
- Climate Change (e.g., Raising environmental awareness through sports events)
- Human Rights and Social Inclusion (e.g., Promoting gender equality and social engagement of people with disabilities through sport)
- Education and Vocational Training (e.g., Developing life skills through sport)
- Regional Revitalisation Through Sport (e.g., Collaborative initiatives involving sports organisations, local communities, and citizens)
2. Post the Created Video on Social Media or Video Platforms
Upload your video to X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, or YouTube. The posting regulations are as follows:
