Help the Sport and Social Cohesion Lab understand how we can measure or evaluate sport for social cohesion programmes – participate in the survey today.

The Sport and Social Cohesion Lab (SSCL) project aims to increase social cohesion in diverse urban neighbourhoods and support practitioners in delivering high-quality sport for social cohesion programmes. To do so, this Erasmus+ funded project implements a participatory Living Lab approach, to directly engage programme participants, generate an understanding of the elements that promote social cohesion in a sport setting and co-create relevant tools to allow for the exploration, understanding and improvement of social cohesion outcomes. As part of this work, we also want to reach out to European and international programmes, in order to understand the desired goals and outcomes of their activities.

In particular, we would like to solicit the input of practitioners in order to understand the behaviours and attitudes that programmes consider important in promoting social cohesion. Better understanding these desired outcomes can, in turn, help us design indicators and measurement tools to support evaluation or research in this crucial and complex area.

If you are active implementing or running a sport for social cohesion programme, we would be grateful if you could take part in our survey here. The survey consists of seven (7) open-ended questions and should take about 10 minutes to complete. The survey will remain open until 17 March 2023.

Your time and support is greatly appreciated! If you have any questions about the survey or our project, please do not hesitate to get in touch via [email protected].
