UIPM-UNAOC collaboration aims to create inclusive, peaceful world

The Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) joined forces for the 'One Humanity' campaign to promote diversity, inclusivity, and intercultural dialogue through the power of sports.

UIPM and UNAOC aim to harness the universal appeal of pentathlon multi-sports to promote the values of the One Humanity campaign.

The campaign will also work towards increasing access to pentathlon training and education for marginalised groups, and will focus on several initiatives, including joint programs, events, and social media campaigns to promote the initiative and its goals.

It will include the exchange of expertise, knowledge, and best practices between the UIPM and UNAOC to develop innovative strategies to leverage the power of sport for social change.

UIPM president Dr Klaus Schormann the shared values of promoting diversity, inclusivity, and peace through pentathlon sports will enable both organisations to make a significant impact on the global stage.

"We look forward to working together towards a more united and harmonious world," Schormann added.

Miguel Ángel Moratinos, the High Representative for UNAOC, acknowledged sport as a powerful tool for building bridges between communities and promoting social inclusion.

"We are delighted to collaborate with UIPM to promote the 'One Humanity' campaign and use modern pentathlon to foster mutual understanding and respect."
