This document, comissioned by Comic Relief, consists of a 'snapshot' of research completed since 2005, an inventory of research planned or in progress, and an overview of the M&E toolkits which have been created.
The document reviews 15 Monitoring and Evaluation toolkits in use in the sector and contains recommendations for improving research and evaluation under the headings:
- Problem identificaiton;
- Knowledge generation;
- Knowledge use.
The aim of the mapping exercise was to establish a 'baseline' whereby potential research gaps, overlaps and opportunities for collaboration could be identified.
