FuturePlus, worked with text analytics specialist Relative Insight to ascertain whether fans’ conversations about sport and sustainability have changed.
FuturePlus and Relative Insight analysed online conversations from the past five years to see how discussions had changed in that time. The results showed how dynamic and unpredictable fans’ attitudes to sustainability are.
The analysis showed that while some fans showed a greater understanding of sports’ impact, many still subscribe to the opinion that sustainability shouldn’t have a place in sports. And they voice this opinion forcefully.
