Watoto Wasoka report on using football to improve education, health, and inclusion for 3,000+ children in Uganda’s slums. Stories, data, and insights.

Watoto Wasoka’s 2024 Annual Report offers a powerful reflection on how football is being used to drive social impact in Uganda’s underserved communities. The report highlights key achievements from the year, including reaching over 3,000 children through play-based education, mental health initiatives, WASH programming, and gender-focused events like the first-ever Girls’ Christmas Camp.

It features stories of change, program outcomes, and lessons learned, as well as insights into how sport can be intentionally adapted to support broader development goals such as SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).

This resource is relevant for practitioners, researchers, and funders interested in sport for development, particularly those working in youth empowerment, grassroots sport, and integrated health and education programming.
