When developing the policy it will add a great deal of value if stakeholders and potential connections between them are identified and reviewed.

The stakeholder analysis should include a thorough investigation of:

  • Who the relevant authorities are
  • How to best facilitate support for children, coaches, parents and others involved
  • Places where further advice can be obtained (including medical and legal)

These connections should include options for children and adults to make direct contact with support providers. Connections should be made with well-reputed organisations. These connections should focus on children's best interests and be reviewed regularly.

This information should be prominently displayed for all project participants to access, and may be included in a map or flowchart.

Make sure to look out for organisations that may already be operating in your region and may be able to provide information on contacts and resources.
