I have been working in the field of Sport Development and Sport for Development for the last 4 years. My previous position was the National Manager of footyWILD PRIDE Community Development at the Australian Football League (AFL) in South Africa, which involved the design and implementation of Sport for Development initiatives, using Australian Football as a vehicle for social change among disadvantaged youth in South Africa's townships.

Allison Simons's Biography
My current role at the Australian Sports Commission involves the management of a team that delivers the Australian Sports Outreach Program (ASOP) across 7 countries in the Pacific (Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, Nauru, Kiribati, Samoa & the Solomon Islands).
Although I have a double major in Archaeology and Anthropology and a PhD in African Archaeology, I have considerable experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of effective Sport for Development initiatives.
