Right to football exists to work for the sustainable development of the underprivileged sector of India. R2F focuses on to provide long term solutions to the homeless and to improve their living standards within underprivileged areas. R2F uses football as a tool to connect every individual, teaching them life skills and working towards improving a better quality of life.
An underprivileged community in Haryana hosts a variety of complicated issues on a daily basis. The prominence of sexual and domestic abuse, unemployment, health issues, and a cycle of disengagement from education. R2F uses football as a tool for development and playing football is an act of therapeutic in itself. R2F try to give the youth of Haryana a purpose to do something in life. We believe that sport and football inherently offer a transferrable set of skills for social development; through team building, acceptance and discipline. R2F choose specific issues that the youth in Haryana face and shape our sessions around building some specific and necessary life skills. Specific game topics include, but are not limited to; saving, nutrition, HIV/AIDS, hygiene and child rights. The major factor that excites R2F to use football as a tool is to bring youth together and make them realize the importance of learning social skills and engagement.
