Sam Parfitt's Biography

Former NCAA Division One tennis player from Norfolk, England.

Currently the Athletics Director at a prestigious private school in Tennessee.

Awarded multiple leadership and public service awards for work in the community.

Senior university thesis looked at Sport, Nationalism and Education.

Experience working in a variety of sport and education-related environments.

Co-coach of a team of Hispanic youths in Dalton, Georgia.

Co-creator of a freerunning program in Chattanooga.

I enjoy finding innovative ways to bring communities together through sport. From working with at-risk youths, to managing sports programs in private schools and writing about sport and its effects on youth, I have developed a wide array of experience to draw from to help enhance society through the joy of sport.
