I became interested in sport & development activities when I was the CEO of Carulla Vivero. I have been directly and indirectly involved in several social projects fighting malnutrition in Colombia, helping children meet their basic needs and improving the living conditions of war victims. Currently, I am leading a social transformation initiative which uses soccer as a pedagogical tool to improve living conditions in the most difficult neighborhoods.

Samuel Azout's Biography
I was born in Barranquilla, the fourth largest city of Colombia and hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics and Business Management from Cornell University. After college, I accepted a position in one of the largest Colombian retail groups.
Over the years, I held different positions before being appointed CEO of Carulla. I held this position for over seven years. After selling the company, I decided to enroll in the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where I received an MPA in 2007. I have also attended several academic executive programs which have proven key for my professional, academic and personal life.
After graduation, I returned to Colombia and decided to dedicate to social projects. I am currently the Chairman of the Board of Futbol con Corazon, a community based initiative which uses soccer as a tool for social development.
