With the goal to reduce HIV-transmission, we work alongside local leaders in Nkomazi Region of South Africa (the area with the highest HIV rates in the world), providing them with the necessary training, mentoring, & support to create, implement & maintain their own locally sustainable not-for-profit and income-generating health & life-skills education-based organizations. Sarah Noftsinger's Biography
Developed a plan called TRAIN to SUSTAIN--which combines urgently needed HIV-, health-, and life-skills education with social entrepreneurship, microfinance, and the venture capital spirit.
Former Ast. Coach for the Stanford University Women's Soccer Team. While there, was in charge of recruiting and lead the program to #1-ranking and the NCAA College Cup. Has 15 former players now involved with the US Women's National Team; also coached with the U-20 Women's National Team during the 2006 World Championships campaign. Before coaching, was a midfielder for the WUSA's Washington Freedom, winning the Championship in 2003. Volunteer Work: Ambassador with Right To Play, BAWSI, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics. founded her own not-for-profit, Skate's Superstars and the Stanford University KICKS Against Breast Cancer chapter.
