Stephen Reynard's Biography

Born in Germany and having lived in the UK, Canada, the United States, France, and the DRC, I have had the opportunity to experience life from very different and often conflicting perspectives. Continuing on this path, I currently live in Switzerland where I work as project manager of sportanddev.

I completed a BA in History and Political Science and an MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution with a focus on International NGO Management.

I first learned about sport and development as a masters student seeking to combine my passion for sport with my interest in post-conflict reconciliation. In 2009, I co-founded an NGO called Sports4HOPE, which in 2011-12 initiated sport and peace education programmes aimed at reconciliation between conflict-affected communities in the Ituri District of DRC. In 2013, I joined the sportanddev Operating Team and am enjoying ongoing learning and networking in the S&D sector.
